Gold jewellery sales in Italy are set to improve as consumers resume spending thanks to signs of worldwide economic improvement, according to one expert.
Stefano de Pascale, director of Italian goldsmiths’ body Federorafi, told Reuters that Christmas signalled improved sales of the precious metal, which has caused Italian jewellers to have greater optimism in the recovery of the sector, following the worldwide credit crunch.
