US women pilots awarded Congressional Gold Medal

The Congressional Gold Medal has been awarded to the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) who operated during World War II.
In a ceremony held in Washington DC yesterday (March 10th), the two surviving members of the WASP and familial representatives of its deceased pilots received the medal for their service ferrying American military planes during the war.
