‘Only two’ 1861 double eagles have Paquet reverse

The Paquet reverse variation of the 1861 double eagle is known to appear in only two examples, according to Paul Fraser Collectibles.
Readers of the collectibles news site are told that barely a brace of the gold coins remain from the three million or so double eagles struck as a whole at the Philadelphia Mint in 1861.
