Gold ingots perform well in Long Beach auction

Four gold ingots found in the shipwreck of the SS Central America sold for high prices at an auction held in California last week.
According to CoinLink, Heritage Auction Galleries’s Long Beach Signature Sale saw the Harris Marchand gold ingot, which weighs 55.05 ounces, sell for $172,500 (£110,789) on February 5th.
